By now, you may have started to see and feel the buzz of Jump Start, Neill’s newest collaboration with Aveda Arts.  Our team is moving quickly to bring new artist training to the salon industry while showcasing the incredible talent of the Aveda network. 

What is Jump Start?

Jump Start is a 2-week new artist training program designed to refine and elevate technical skills in cutting, coloring, and styling hair with a curriculum by North America’s premier Aveda educators. This diverse and inclusive program takes what new stylists learned in cosmetology school and translates it into real-life guest experiences on the salon floor.

How can your salon participate?

FACULTY - We're looking for educators who are excited to teach new artists how to translate skills learned in cosmetology school to real-life guest experiences on the salon floor. Jump Start Train the Trainer sessions will be offered periodically throughout the year.  Our next train the trainer session is July 11-15 in Dallas, TX.  If you have an interested team member, please send an email to jumpstart@neill.com.

While Jump Start salon faculty members do not receive compensation, they are able to strengthen their salon’s representation within the schools to support new artist recruitment. In addition, they’ll be certified to teach and execute new artist training.  This can be leveraged within your salons for the broader staff.  This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of an innovation that will change and elevate the industry.

STUDENT - If you have a young stylist you’d like to see excel, send an email to jumpstart@neill.com.  They’ll receive a link to register on the Neill University site to finalize their enrollment. Jump Start is designed to bridge the gap between cosmetology school and salon placement so students do not need to be licensed to attend.
